My Boob lube story began in the hospital! During my stay one of my nurses came in to check on me and give me medications and she placed a tiny purple tube on my bed side table. I didn’t pay much attention to it, and she didn’t really comment on it besides saying, “Here is some Lanolin, If you need more let us know.” Little did I know, That purple little tube would become my Best friend!! I wasn’t aware just how sore and chapped my Nipples would get while both me and my tiny little human figured out how the whole breast feeding thing worked. I also was not aware that when I pumped it was suggested that I apply a good coat of this miracle cream on my nipples to prevent some nasty friction. Second use with the Pump in the hospital things took a turn for the worst! I removed the pump from my breast and my nipple felt like it had been sanded off. The friction of my nipple gliding in and out caused the skin to tear off of my areola and nipple! Since I obviously did not take precautions and ended up using the cream prior to pumping, and I definitely used it after, as well as before breast feeding (Safe for baby) and even after breast feeding. There are other brands of nipple creams on the market but this is what was given to me in the hospital and I just stuck with it. You can find it at Walmart, Target, and even on Amazon. I do like the fact that you can get this in a regular size tube (1.41 oz) as well as a mini tube (0.25 oz) to put in your diaper bag or even pump bag. One thing to be aware of is that this stuff will stain your clothes! This Item is a mommy must have if breast feeding!
